2008 News:
December-May: Another long Winter. Fortunately broken
up by a family trip to Sanibel Florida. Great weather, boating with many
dolphins, lots of sun. Then a February Las Vegas Trip. While in Las Vegas
I got to see my old friend Rod Kopreck who I hadn't seen in 20 years since
Dare Force played in Pheonix. Had a blast, went to shows, won some money
(and lost some) and saw all the big casino's. Back home the new studio
just rocks, I did another Destnd Furthr and Sternes Co. 17 (me on guitar)
CD's, and bands; Absolut Gruv, Michael Ronnie, Moonflower,
and many new Demo's. The new technology of mixing all in the box with
Pro Tools is nice to have total recall automation. Had American Headcharge
drummer Chirs Emery in to play on the Rock Band project (me on guitars).
Starting a couple new CD's this spring, and gearing up for some yardwork
and boating. Put up some new songs, pics and videos on the MySpace sites,
have a new Tribute Myspace site, check the links page to enter.... Time
sure does fly when your having fun. Well into 2008..... out
August-November: Major gear update... picked up a Pro
Tools HD3accel (high definition) system with a 96i I/O and Control 24
console. I'm also happy to have a new Computer, Neuman 147 tube mic and
Universal Audio tube mic pre, and a whole rack of new MIDI gear. Did a
jingle with Joey Molland on guitar and Kelly Keagy on drums. Just finished
up the Tim Schools album, working with several new clients and gearin
up to start a new Joey Molland (Badfinger) album... Had some parties with
old friends the last few weeks, got some more next week, and lots of family
holiday action round the bend. Well another summer is over, pulled the
boat and dock out, did a boatload of boating and purification on beautiful
Lake Minnetonka. Gettin ready to hunker down for the winter, but at least
we've got Florida and Vegas trips to break up the long Minnesnowta winter.
Starting a surprise tribute project soon. Peace/love.
June: Did 2 more songs for the Brynn / Oarfin Dead pool
Tribute. After researching the history of Rock and rock guitar for my
2nd grader Ashley's class seminar, I was amazed to find out about Rocket
88. Written by Ike Turner at the crossroads on Highway 61. It was recorded
in 1951 at Sun studio by Sam Phillips 3 years before Elvis and Rock around
the clock. Rocket 88 was the first Rock song ever recorded. On the way
to the studio on Hwy 61, the guitar amp got wet, and the band was unhappy
with the distorted sound. Sam Phillips liked it and this was the 1st distorted
guitar ever recorded. I love this story. For the 2nd song, I had to do
one of my favorites "Still Alive And Well" by Johnny Winter.
Between several studio client sessions, I've been doing a boatload of
boating on Minnetonka.
April: Just finished 2 tribute songs for the Dead Rockers
Tribute. I did Manic Depression by Jimi Hendrix and Sweet Burgandy by
Tommy Bolin. It was Good working with my old buddy Brynn Arens from Flipp.
Just had Pamela Moore of Queensryche in doing vocals for the Zane Peterson
and his band from Sweden. Travel mania once again with a family Disney
Trip. Six parks in six days. Ran into Gordy Knutson at the airport and
got express entrance and back stage to Steve Miller at Universal Studios.
Thanks Gordy! Finishing off the Album with Joey Molland (Badfinger) and
Tim Schools. Boating fever, just put 'er in!
March: Just finished the Pink Floyd tribute, it turned
out great if I may say so myself. Hopefully it will get some massive download
action. A few of the tribute songs from Metallica, Zeppelin, AC/DC and
Aerosmith have downloaded over 100,000 copies on the web. I guess the
DPD market is booming. The Atlanta / Hilton Head trip was a blast, heading
to Disneyworld in a few weeks. Still shopping some new tunes to some interested
labels in Europe and Japan.
Feb: Hawaii was incredible, Just finishing a Pink Floyd
tribute. It's been fun doing the Gilmore riffs. Kelly Keagy's CD is out.
Several client records are rapping up and gearin for an Atlanta / Hilton
Head trip. Then a month later a family Disney outing. Still looking forward
to another boating season on Minnetonka! Started yet another myspace site.
My old band Little

Workin with Joey Molland of Badfinger, just finished
a few fun CD's, went swimming in October, taking the boat out of the water,
heading to Hawaii, then hunkerin down for the winter.
Hey, just finished some guitar solo's for the new Kelly
Keagy CD (Frontiers-Italy). It should be out this summer with heavy international
distribution and press. Also on the album is Jimmy Peterick (Surviver),
and Reb Beach (Winger/Mob).
Seven killer new Dare Force tracks featuring Dave Reece,
John O'Neil, Brian Lorenson, Mark Miller and Brian Bart are out being
checked in Europe and Japan. mp3
links.
The Dare Force "Makin Our Own Rules" double
album re-release from the 80's is out on Metal Mayhem records, along with
last year's Firepower. This puts all three Dare Force records from the
80's in immortal international distribution.
The Kids Kelly Clarkson tribute is out in stores. It
was interesting working with kids, got good tracks. Other recent tribs;
Gorillaz, Hip Hop Zeppelin & Aerosmith. Check my mp3 links page to
hear samples from all the tribute records.
I'm Currently working on some jingles, gaming, ringtone
projects, along with several new client albums this summer. solo

Just finished the Aerosmith and Zeppelin tributes. It's
so fun playing the the bass and guitars of some of my favorite bands growing
up. Just got back from Sanibel / Fort Meyers. We had a blast with great
weather and lots of tan and fun.
Check out this client video of the studio. Stop song,
scroll down to 1st video.
Hope to keep some time open for alot of lake Minnetonka
boating this summer. Should I work or should I shirk?
Peace and Love!
